Public Training Center

Our facility is located at 2800 Veterans Blvd, Suite 330, Metairie, LA 70002. We supply one computer per student, a break room with amenities (including telephones and high-speed internet connection), and courseware that is yours to keep to practice your skills back at your home or at the office.

On-Site (Client Site) Training

If it's more convenient, we can arrange classes to be held at your company. We'll send certified instructors, courseware, hardware and software for complete training wherever you need it. By training at your site you can customize training and courseware so your staff receives the right training for your business. Minimize travel expenses and loss of productivity. Schedule training when and where you need it.

Mentored Learning

Mentored Learning combines a three-dimensional learning concept that includes a certified mentor, official vendor courseware and multi-media content to provide a robust and rich learning process.

We realilze how important time and money is to you, so we have designed training programs that have minimal impact on your schedule, save you time away from the office, and eliminate the expenses with travel. New Horizons offers two types of eLearning.

Online ANYTIME - If you want a comprehensive learning experience, but prefer a more independent approach, try Online ANYTIME. Available as Web-based or computer-based training, the course content is the same as our world-renowned instructor-led training.

Online LIVEi - Now you can experience the human interaction benefits of an instructor-led class, linked with the convenience of the Internet. You can have it all without leaving your workplace or home. A large number of technical and application courses are currently available. Course offerings can also be created to meet specific business objectives.

Customized Training

Training Grants

The Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) Customized Training is designed to benefit business and industry by assisting in existing employees' skill development and by increasing employee productivity and company growth.

Details

The National Emergency Grant (NEG) is a new grant offered by the Louisiana Department of Labor that offers training dollars for employers to enhance employee skills and develop career paths.

The Incumbent Worker Training Program has now included a Small Business Employee Training Program. The IWTP Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET) is designed to benefit business and industry by assisting in the skill development of existing employees through individual, standardized (off-the shelf) training.
